Sleep is not something we can compromise on. The significance of sleep can however be only justified when insomnia has reached an extreme. The lack of continued sleep will take a toll on the body in such a way that it is visible to people outside. Dark circles under the eyes are just one of the first messages that our body sends. It is followed by severe headache, shortened attention span, tiredness, fatigue, etc.
Unfortunately, a majority of humans take sleeping lightly and spend time engaging in what they deem important. They disregard the sleep cycle of the body unaware of the problems they will face in the future.
In some cases, the cause of insomnia is far more complicated. Hormonal changes, medications, pain, etc can sometimes cause sleeplessness. The emotional condition of the person will also influence their sleep.
Research says that insomnia or sleeplessness can lead to unhappiness as the tendency to fall into depression and stress level is high. Moreover, sleep deprivation has been linked to weight gain, increased chances of getting stroke and diabetes.
Happiness And Sleep

Everything we do in life ultimately is for us to be happy. Our daily activities are also a source of happiness. In short, our lives revolve around happiness.
